ILLUSTRATION COURSE

This is a twelve lesson course showcasing the basics of illustration. This course is perfect for anyone that wants to start in illustration or wants to acquire a new skill set. The illustration course taught by renowned designer and illustrator Mamen Morillas teaches the basic concepts of illustration such as sketching, perspective, composition, textures, and more.

This course is accompanied by weekly lessons on our study portal and live weekly sessions with Mamen (2:00 PM Eastern time) | All lessons are online and are recorded | No prior experience is needed to take this course | basic or advanced knowledge of illustration software such as Adobe Illustrator or Adobe Photoshop can be helpful | Slack channel and community | 1 on 1 mentoring.

Who will teach you?

Mamen Morillas studied graphic design in San Telmo Art School (Malaga, Spain) and after moved to Barcelona, where she graduated in illustration in 2004 in Massana art school. She also holds a MA in Motion Graphics by LABASAD.

Her knowledge in graphics helped her to jump into digital illustration at a very early stage, starting her career as a professional illustrator during her second year of studies, after winning an illustration prize organized by La Vanguardia newspaper and Generalitat de Barcelona.

Since then she has collaborated with multiple publications, brands, and events bringing a very personal style that characterizes all her work, combining dosis of humor, naiveté, criticism, darkness and fantasy.

Senior lecturer of the MA illustration program of BAU since 2009. Associated lecturer of LCCA from 2017.
